President of the Nigeria Soccer Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, has reiterated that there will probably be no change to the kick-off date for the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Soccer League, NPFL season.
Gusau disclosed this on the NPFL 2025/26 pre-season seminar in Lafia on Friday.
He mentioned it’s a constructive growth that the league calendar now aligns with that of European golf equipment.
“After we got here on board, we had no alternative however to decide for an abridged league. This paved the best way for reaching uniformity, as our league led to Could final season,” Gusau said in his deal with.
“This season, too, we’ll begin on August 22 as scheduled.”
Defending champions Remo Stars will sq. up in opposition to Rivers United within the opening fixture of the new season.
The season is anticipated to climax in Could 2025.
