A Rivers State Excessive Court sitting in Port Harcourt has reserved ruling in a suit filed by the chairmanship candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, underneath the Emeka Beke-led faction of the occasion within the August 30 native authorities elections.
The case was instituted by Fubara Dagogo and eight others in opposition to the Rivers State Unbiased Electoral Fee, RSIEC.
The presiding decide, Justice Stephen Jumbo, reserved ruling till Wednesday, November 5, after listening to arguments from each events on whether or not the case was statute-barred.
The claimants are looking for a perpetual injunction restraining RSIEC from recognising or accepting the outcomes of the APC primaries held on August 4, 2025, or another date.
