The Nigerian Army has authorized the promotion of 105 senior officers to the ranks of Main Common and Brigadier Common, in accordance to a press release launched on Friday.
The announcement was made in a press release signed by Lt.-Col. Appolonia Anele, Performing Director of Army Public Relations.
She mentioned the Army Council reached the choice on Thursday.
In accordance to her, 28 Brigadier Generals had been promoted to Main Common, whereas 77 Colonels moved up to Brigadier Common.
These promoted to Main Common embrace Brig.-Gen. O. Adegbe of the Defence Intelligence Company; Brig.-Gen. S.M. Uba, Director of Defence Info; Brig.-Gen. R.E. Hedima, Performing Chief of Navy Intelligence (Army); and Brig.-Gen. R.T. Utsaha, Deputy Director, Defence Operations.
Others on the record are Brig.-Gen. A.M. Umar, Commandant of the Warrant Officer Academy; Brig.-Gen. S. Sulaiman, Deputy Navy Secretary (Army); Brig.-Gen. I.O. Bassey, Director of the Nigerian Army Operations Centre; and Brig.-Gen. C.A. Ekeator of the Nigerian Army College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
Additionally promoted had been Brig.-Gen. S.Y. Yakasai, Performing Director of Procurement within the Workplace of the Chief of Army Employees; Brig.-Gen. W.L. Nzidee of the Army Logistics Division; Brig.-Gen. S.A. Emmanuel of Nigerian Army Indicators; Brig.-Gen. S.S. Tilawan, Performing Commander of Sector 3, Operation HADIN KAI; Brig.-Gen. M.O. Agi of the NDA TETFund Desk; Brig.-Gen. I.M. Abbas, Commander 34 Brigade; and Brig.-Gen. Z.A. Saidu, who was promoted posthumously.
