With just a few hours to Christmas festivities, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, has directed the implementation of strong safety measures across the state to make sure the security of lives and property.

An announcement by the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi, in Ilorin on Wednesday, stated the proactive deployment of personnel across the state underscores the command’s readiness and dedication to sustaining public security and confidence throughout the festive interval.

In keeping with the assertion, “In alignment with the Nigeria Police Drive’s nationwide safety structure for the Yuletide season as outlined by the Inspector-Normal of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, visibility policing, intelligence-led patrols, and focused operations have been intensified across locations of worship, markets, leisure and occasion centres, motor parks, highways, and different public areas.

“Tactical and specialised models are on heightened alert, with sustained surveillance and raids ongoing in recognized black spots and flashpoints.”

Deployed officers, in keeping with the spokesperson, have been directed to stay skilled, agency, and courteous within the discharge of their duties.
