The Taliban authorities stated on Wednesday that the taking pictures of two Nationwide Guard members in Washington had nothing to do with Afghanistan.
International minister Amir Khan Muttaqi stated in a video launched by his workplace that “the one who dedicated this act was trained by the People themselves.”
This was the primary official Taliban response to the incident.
“So this incident doesn’t concern the Afghan authorities or individuals,” he added.
The suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, pleaded not responsible on Tuesday to the November 26 shootings.
US officers stated he had been a part of a CIA-backed accomplice power combating the Taliban earlier than coming to the United States by a resettlement program after the 2021 American navy withdrawal.
Muttaqi stated, “They trained this man, employed him, and he left Afghanistan by an unlawful course of that didn’t match worldwide norms.”
