The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Gen. Christopher Musa, has warned that anyone working against the sovereignty and unity of Nigeria can be handled as an enemy of the state.
Musa issued the warning on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi, whereas addressing the Normal Meeting of the Northern Conventional Rulers’ Council, NTRC, tagged: “Kebbi 2025: Strengthening Neighborhood Collaboration for Lasting Peace and Safety in Northern Nigeria.”
He reaffirmed the dedication of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to defend the nation’s territorial integrity and urged all Nigerians to unite in safeguarding its peace and stability.
“Anyone discovered doing anything negative against the federal government and the sovereignty of Nigeria is an enemy of the state, and we’ll go after such individual,” Musa declared.
The CDS recommended the Sultan of Sokoto and different northern conventional rulers for his or her steady position in selling peace, unity and stability within the area.
