Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have efficiently foiled a bandit attack on Sabon Garin Kwargaba village in Wurno Native Authorities of Sokoto State, killing several of the assailants in a fierce trade of fireplace.
Safety sources advised Zagazola Makama, that the attack occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on October 7, when numerous bandits armed with refined weapons stormed the village and started capturing indiscriminately.
Troops stationed on the space have been instantly mobilised and engaged the attackers in a protracted gun duel, forcing them to retreat into the close by forest with heavy casualties.
“Several of the bandits have been neutralised, whereas others escaped with gunshot wounds. Sadly, one soldier and a lady from the community misplaced their lives through the encounter,” one of many sources mentioned.
One other soldier who sustained gunshot accidents was evacuated to the Usmanu Danfodiyo College Educating Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, the place he’s responding to therapy.
The sources additional disclosed that extra reinforcements have been deployed to the world to forestall additional assaults and preserve safety.
