A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba, has justified President Bola Tinubu’s choice to reshuffle the service chiefs.
Talking in an interview on Politics In the present day, a programme on Channels Tv monitored by DAILY POST on Friday, Agbakoba stated Tinubu acted rightly if there was certainly a rumoured coup.
He was reacting to the reshuffle of the service chiefs introduced by President Tinubu on Friday.
The President made changes to the hierarchy of the service chiefs as a part of the Federal Authorities’s efforts to strengthen the nationwide safety structure.
Reacting, the senior lawyer stated: “You may have a president who is ready to take prime choices and we all know that he likes to take prime choices.
“I feel he has taken prime choices as a result of his predecessor, late former president Muhammadu Buhari, didn’t like to take prime choices and he allowed his army group to keep far longer than they need to have.
“So if it’s certainly true that there was a rumoured coup, I feel he (President Tinubu) can be wise to do precisely what he has achieved. What we wish to see is the impression of the choice.”
