Three farmers have been killed in a contemporary assault on farmlands in Gwer West Native Authorities Space of Benue State.
The victims, recognized as Mr Ioryer Kwaghkaha OLS, Ayila Atsar, and a yet-unidentified particular person, have been reportedly shot and brutally assaulted whereas engaged on their farms in Gilim Ashi village, alongside the Naka–Agagbe highway, behind Authorities Complete Secondary College, Naka.
Native sources confirmed that the our bodies of the deceased have been recovered and brought to the Naka morgue.
The killings comply with an ambush lower than 24 hours earlier, when armed males killed a traveler alongside the Naka–Makurdi highway close to Kula village.
Though Nigerian Military troops repelled that assault, the assailants returned on Thursday, this time focusing on farmers.
Authorities are but to challenge an official assertion as investigations proceed.
