Yobe State Road Visitors Administration Company (YOROTA) has confirmed a tragic road accident alongside Potiskum Road at Mile-5, ensuing in the lack of three lives and leaving six others injured.
YOROTA’s Public Relations Officer, Musa Ali Maigari, confirmed the incident in a press release issued on Saturday, indicating that the accident occurred yesterday round 12:00 pm.
“Upon receiving the misery report, the Basic Supervisor and Corps Commandant of YOROTA, Babagana Alhaji Modu Bature Goniri, MBA, MINSTA, instantly deployed the Company’s Rescue Squad to the scene for emergency intervention.
“Preliminary findings point out that the accident was attributable to a tyre burst.
“The YOROTA Rescue Squad, in collaboration with the Federal Road Security Corps (FRSC) and YEMABUS, promptly evacuated the injured victims to the Yobe State Educating Hospital, Damaturu, for pressing medical consideration,” the assertion added.
Based on the assertion, the company expressed deep condolences to the bereaved households and prayed for the swift restoration of the injured.
It additionally urged motorists to conduct routine car checks, particularly on tyres, and to strictly adjust to site visitors security guidelines to keep away from related tragedies.
