Former Labour Celebration presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has spoken after escaping an assassination try.
DAILY POST had reported that gunmen attacked the convoy of the previous Anambra State governor in Edo State on Tuesday.
Obi spoke in a video circulating on-line following the assault on the residence of former APC Nationwide Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, where gunmen reportedly opened fireplace, riddling the gate and a number of other automobiles with bullets.
“This is where our democracy has reached. A former governor, and you may see what occurred in entrance of his home, where hoodlums got here taking pictures.
“I guarantee you this can not proceed; now we have a rustic, and we’re part of it. We can not have terrorism and have officers in authorities terrorising the residents.”
The incident reportedly occurred shortly after Obi, Odigie-Oyegun, and different political figures attended the formal declaration of Barrister Olumide Akpata into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benin.
