A member of the Civilian Joint Process Power (CJTF) has been killed in what’s believed to be an ambush by insurgents in Gwoza Native Authorities Space of Borno State.
The assault reportedly occurred on January 5 at about 2:30pm alongside the Warave-Bayan Dutse Highway.
Sources advised Zagazola Makama that armed males opened fireplace on CJTF members and native hunters who have been on a routine patrol within the space.
One CJTF member, recognized as 40-year-old Hamman Ibrahim, was critically wounded through the assault.
After the incident, troops from a close-by navy ahead working base, alongside law enforcement officials and CJTF members, arrived on the scene and recorded particulars of what occurred.
The injured man was taken to the Normal Hospital in Gwoza, the place docs confirmed him lifeless on arrival.
His physique was later launched to his household and buried in keeping with Islamic customs.
