The Chairman of the Senate Committee on South East Growth Fee (SEDC), Orji Uzor Kalu (APC, Abia North), has stated that bandits are mercenaries brought into Nigeria by politicians.
Uzor Kalu made this assertion in an interview on Sunday Politics, a programme on Channels Tv monitored by DAILY POST.
His feedback come in opposition to the backdrop of the renewed safety challenges throughout the nation.
In response to him, “Persons are being killed in Nigeria and also you see individuals speak in regards to the forthcoming 2027 elections, this and that. You’ll be able to see that each one is about politics.
“These individuals (bandits) are partially mercenaries brought by politicians. These persons are individuals brought by people. They’re centred to destabilise the president who is able to revamp our financial system.”
When requested if President Bola Tinubu was conscious of the knowledge he was giving, the previous Abia State governor stated, “Tinubu is the president of Nigeria. He has numerous info round him.
