Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested seven suspected cultists in a hospital positioned in Uromi, the executive headquarters of Esan North-East Native Authorities Space of the State.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Moses Yamu, disclosed this on Thursday in a assertion made obtainable to newsmen in Benin Metropolis.
Yamu stated the suspects who’re members of Eiye Confraternity have been allegedly holding a strategic assembly to launch an assault on the rival Aye Confraternity, following a conflict between one alias “I Dey Chop” (Eiye member) and Asuelimen Saviour (Aye member), throughout which each sustained accidents.
He stated the suspects have been arrested on November 15, 2025, by the operatives led by the Divisional Police officer whereas appearing on credible intelligence.
He listed gadgets recovered from the suspects to incorporate one battle axe and numerous cult paraphernalia.
