The Federal Authorities has introduced a ban on the admission and transfer of scholars into Senior Secondary College 3 in each private and non-private secondary colleges in Nigeria.
The directive was issued by the Federal Ministry of Schooling on Sunday and signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Folasade Boriowo.
Boriowo defined that the choice was prompted by “rising issues over the growing incidence of examination malpractice, together with using so-called particular centres throughout exterior examinations.”
The assertion added that such practices “undermine the integrity and credibility of Nigeria’s schooling system.”
In line with the ministry, the directive will take impact from the 2026/2027 educational session. Admissions and transfers at the moment are restricted to SS1 and SS2 courses.
The assertion emphasised that, “Admission or transfer into SS3 will now not be permitted below any circumstance.”
