Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has expressed confidence within the feasibility of making Anioma State.
Talking in an interview on Sunday Politics, a programme on Channels Tv monitored by DAILY POST, Senator Nwoko stated the proposed state has the assets to be self-sustaining.
When requested whether or not the creation of recent states was advisable, on condition that some present states in Nigeria battle to pay staff’ salaries, the lawmaker replied, “Are you conscious that in Delta State, for instance, we’ve got the biggest allocation each month from the Federal Account Allocation Committee?
“This comes from oil and fuel assets. Delta North has nearly 40 per cent of that allocation. And that 40 per cent is greater than what you have got in Ebonyi, Enugu, or Zamfara. We’re far more prepared than current states.”
