The Transmission Firm of Nigeria, TCN, has hailed the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, for the arrest of three suspects caught vandalising transmission tools on the Oshogbo Transmission Substation.
This was disclosed in an announcement by TCN’s spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, on Monday.
Based on TCN, the suspects, Adigwe {52), Bomi (39), and Seyi (42), had been apprehended on November 1st, 2025, whereas dismantling three 132 kV DS contact isolators saved in a container designated for instruments and supplies on the TCN Oshogbo Substation linked to the nation’s nationwide grid.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that 5 out of eighteen DS contact isolators had been dismantled by the suspects. The three suspects had been discovered in possession of three of the vandalised isolators belonging to TCN.
“One of the suspects, Adigwe, reportedly admitted that he and his accomplices tampered with the tools with out authorisation or a sound TCN allow,” the assertion reads.
