Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has revealed that he declined an appointment offer from President Bola Tinubu, selecting as an alternative to concentrate on his private life after years in public service.
Fayose made this disclosure on Wednesday whereas talking on Channels Tv’s Politics In the present day, monitored by DAILY POST.
The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering emphasised that, though he remained on pleasant phrases with Tinubu, their relationship didn’t quantity to political alignment.
“Have you ever seen me taking appointment from the APC? Asiwaju requested me, ‘What would we offer you?’ I stated, ‘Nothing, sir.’ At 65, I’d fairly be at dwelling, being extra accountable, doing different issues that I must do. I’ve served effectively. Two-time governor. I’ve completed effectively. Tomorrow will maintain itself,” Fayose said.
