A Kebbi State Excessive Court docket sitting in Birnin Kebbi has sentenced a 40-year-old man, Bello Musa, often known as Katuka, to death by hanging for culpable murder and 5 years’ imprisonment for dishonest.
Justice Hassan Shehu Kuwa delivered the judgment after discovering Musa responsible on three counts of prison conspiracy, culpable murder and dishonest, opposite to Sections 60(b), 191(b) and 308 of the Kebbi State Penal Code Regulation, 2021.
Musa was arraigned on November 22, 2024, over the death of 31-year-old Shamsiyya Usman. In accordance to the prosecution, the convict lodged with the sufferer in a resort in Birnin Kebbi in November 2024, poisoned her drink and left her lifeless physique in the room.
