PROMOTED SONG

The group made this declaration whereas reacting to the arrest of the human rights activist in Lagos.

DAILY POST reviews that some residents of Lagos State on Wednesday protested against the demolition of constructions in Makoko and different areas within the state.

It was learnt that Hassan was arrested by the police through the protest. Our correspondent gathered that he has not been launched as on the time of submitting this report on Thursday.

Nationwide Coordinator of FWF, Comrade Andrew Emelieze, and Common Secretary, Comrade Ogundele Ayo, condemned the arrest in a press release made accessible to DAILY POST on Thursday.

They known as for rapid and unconditional launch of the activist.

“The Federal Workers Forum joins thousands and thousands of homeless and destitute Nigerians to strongly condemn the unjust and provocative arrest of Comrade H. T. Soweto.

“This arrest is baseless and represents a direct assault on the constitutional rights of Nigerians to peacefully protest in opposition to unjust and anti-folks insurance policies of the ruling authorities.

“We due to this fact demand the rapid and unconditional launch of Comrade H. T. Soweto and all others arrested, an instantaneous halt to all home demolitions, and the adoption of individuals-oriented insurance policies that prioritize reasonably priced housing, dignity, and social justice,” the assertion stated.
