The Kwara State Ministry of Environment on Saturday intercepted and sealed a cold room in Ilorin, the state capital, for selling spoilt fish to members of the general public.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, who confirmed the motion, declared that “Our officers have achieved the needful, by halting additional sale, confiscating the gadgets and sealing the premises.”
Buge warned enterprise homeowners to desist from buying and selling in unhealthy gadgets, describing such conduct as inhuman, ungodly, and towards the regulation.
The commissioner, nevertheless, recommended residents of the state for collaborating actively within the month-to-month clean-up and bush clearing train round their properties throughout Saturday’s environmental sanitation.
She urged residents to proceed to prioritise their well being by collaborating frequently in sanitation workout routines, protecting their environment clear, and reporting any suspicious exercise that might endanger public well being to the ministry or the closest regulation enforcement company.
Saturday’s sanitation train was monitored by the Chairman, Kwara State Home Committee on Environment, Omotosho AbdulRazaq, and the Normal Supervisor, Kwara State Environmental Safety Company, Honourable Jide Aina.
