The Kwara State authorities has declared zero tolerance for school bullying and different associated abuses amongst college students within the state’s instructional establishments.
The federal government issued a warning in opposition to school bullying and different associated offences involving pupils and college students, as a part of efforts to create a protected and conducive studying surroundings throughout the state.
The Commissioner for Ladies Affairs, Mrs Opeyemi Oluwakemi Afolashade, who was represented by the Director, Personnel, Finance and Provide, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Ubandawaki, made this recognized whereas addressing a case of school bullying that had been reported to the ministry.
The commissioner acknowledged that the state authorities has zero tolerance for all types of abuse amongst college students, together with bullying, physique shaming, the usage of derogatory language, preventing, cultism, illicit use of medicine, and sexual harassment, amongst others.
The Director of the Little one Growth Directorate, Hajia Idiat Alabi, famous that there have been a number of reported circumstances of pupils and college students harassing each other; therefore, the state authorities is issuing an official warning in opposition to such acts.
