The Kano State Home of Assembly has handed into regulation the N724.2 billion Medium Time period Expenditure Framework, MTEF, after receiving a letter from the Commissioner for Planning and Funds in search of approval for the 2026–2028 MTEF.
The letter, learn throughout plenary by Speaker Alhaji Jibril Ismail Falgore, outlined the financial and monetary insurance policies guiding the preparation of the 2026 finances, together with income projections, grants, debt servicing, and capital expenditure plans.
In response to the Speaker, the overall MTEF projection for the 2026 finances stands at N724.2 billion, with N321 billion allotted for recurrent companies and one other N321 billion for capital expenditure.
Falgore urged members to critically evaluate the proposal earlier than forwarding it to the manager for assent.
After cautious deliberations, the Home adopted the MTEF doc, pending the completion of vital legislative procedures for its remaining approval.
