The Nigerians in Diaspora Fee, NiDCOM, says no distress name from Nigerians in Iran yet.
NiDCOM acknowledged this amid the continuing disaster between Iran and the US and its ally, Israel.
DAILY POST recollects that the Federal Ministry of International Affairs had stated that it was nonetheless monitoring the state of affairs within the Center East.
Director of Media and Public Relations of NiDCOM, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, who disclosed this, stated although there may be Nigerians in Iran, none had formally reached out to the fee for help.
“I’m not saying there are not any Nigerians there, I’m solely saying no one has despatched any distress name,” he clarified.
In accordance to him, flight cancellations to the area are due to ongoing hostilities, stressing that no airline will function in an lively struggle zone.
“There could also be ceasefire for 2 or three days to enable people who find themselves stranded on the airport to be evacuated. That has not been finished,” he famous.
