The Rivers State Home of Assembly has accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy of breaching the peace agreement brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
The Majority Chief of the Home, Main Jack stated this whereas studying Fubara’s misconduct throughout the impeachment course of on Thursday.
DAILY POST had reported that the meeting on Thursday commenced Fubara’s impeachment process.
In line with the Majority Chief, President Tinubu brokered peace between the Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike twice however the governor reneged.
He stated, “The governor and his Deputy have continued to behave as tyrants and haven’t any good plans for transparency of fine governance in Rivers State.
“They’ve repeatedly breached and backtracked on peace agreement facilitated by the president of this nation Bola Tinubu.
“The governor and his deputy did not heed to the phrases of agreement reached throughout the peace parley in December 2023 and one other one in 2025”.
