Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has charged the Oyo State Governor,  Seyi Makinde, to return the N30 billion he admitted was launched by the Federal Authorities as intervention fund for the January 16, 2024, Bodija explosion in Ibadan, since he claimed to not have spent the cash.

Fayose mentioned it was humorous that the governor didn’t inform the individuals of Oyo State of the N30 billion he now admitted to have acquired and the N20 billion stability, till he blew the whistle on the N50 billion intervention fund.

In a press release on Thursday, by his Spokesperson, Femi Philips, the previous governor mentioned “since Governor Makinde has now mentioned that he stored the N30 billion he admitted to have acquired in a financial institution since 2024, Oyo State Authorities ought to return the cash to the Federal Authorities so it may be used for the individuals for which the cash was meant.
