Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Get together (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has addressed his son Abba Abubakar’s decision to be a part of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a personal selection.
In an announcement posted on his X deal with, Atiku mentioned, “The decision of my son, Abba Abubakar, to be a part of the APC is fully personal. In a democracy, such selections are neither uncommon nor alarming, even when household and politics intersect.”
He added, “As a democrat, I don’t coerce my very own kids in issues of conscience, and I definitely won’t coerce Nigerians.”
