Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru, Bago has submitted a N1.3 trillion appropriation invoice, dubbed the “Budget of Consolidation,” to the state Home of Assembly for 2026.
The budget allocates N270 billion to recurrent spending and N761 billion to capital tasks.
Over N270 billion (26.19%) was estimated as recurrent expenditure, whereas capital expenditure stands at above N761 billion, representing 73.81% of the entire estimate.
Bago defined that the budget is predicted to be financed by income from statutory allocation, value-added tax (VAT), internally generated income, different FAAC receipts, IGR, capital receipts, grants, and mortgage.
