DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred Monday morning.

The radio station is positioned throughout the premises of the college.

It was learnt that the hearth incident was on account of electrical surge from air-conditioning.

Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident.

Akinwande, in an announcement signed and made accessible to DAILY POST, mentioned, “The hearth incident was reported at precisely 11:55 hr on Monday 1st September 2025.

“The company’s officers led by PFS 11 Makinde promptly responded and deployed to the scene of incident.

“On getting there, we met the radio station studio engulfed by fireplace and smoke slugged. The fireman swiftly swung into motion and the hearth was curtailed and restricted from spreading past the place we met it.

“The hearth was on account of electrical surge from air-conditioning. No casualty was recorded, whereas the company had been capable of save properties price hundreds of thousands of naira.

“I urge the general public to take heed to fireplace and emphasize the significance of getting extinguishers in respective buildings and proper use of the tools in order to forestall fireplace incidents at incipient stage”.
