Nigerian sprinter Favour Ofili has officially switched her worldwide allegiance to Turkey.
Ofili revealed the choice in an announcement posted on her social media pages.
She wrote: “Wrapping up my 2025 season has been a whirlwind of latest experiences and massive selections.
“As a few of you may have heard, I’m additionally beginning a brand new chapter representing Turkey.”
Ofili’s choice follows years of alleged administrative failures and neglect by each the Nigerian Olympic Committee and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
It’s believed the 22-year-old will likely be eligible to compete for Turkey from 2027.
