Inuwa was taken into custody by operatives of the EFCC’s Kano Zonal Directorate on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The arrest adopted the circulation of a viral video on social media through which the actress was seen utilizing Naira notes to wipe mucus from her nostril.

Confirming the event in a press release, the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, stated the video prompted swift motion from the Fee.

In accordance with Oyewale, EFCC operatives tracked the actress after the video went viral and subsequently arrested her for questioning in reference to the alleged forex mutilation.

He disclosed that Inuwa is presently being detained on the Fee’s facility as investigations proceed.
