An economist, Paul Alaje, has stated that Nigeria’s failure to handle its fast-growing population could worsen poverty and inequality.
Alaje issued the warning on Tuesday when he featured in an interview programme on Come up Tv monitored by DAILY POST.
The Chief Economist at SPM Professionals stated the World Financial institution’s projection that Nigeria’s population will exceed 320 million by 2050 could turn into actuality, including that “we have to do a variety of work” to organize for it.
“Population is neither a curse nor a blessing. It depends upon what you do with it. We can not focus on population with out discussing accessible sources and productiveness. The three of them should be mentioned collectively,” he stated.
