Executives of the Commerce Union Congress, TUC, Ebonyi State chapter, have been re-elected for a second tenure.
The executives had been re-elected on Thursday through the delegate congress of the union in Abakaliki, the state capital.
Movement for the re-election of the executives was moved by Charles Nwali of the Affiliation of Senior Civil Servants, and Nwanneka Chukwuba, member of Regulation Officers Affiliation of Nigeria.
The election was witnessed by authorities officers and leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, within the state.
These re-elected embody Comrade Chidi Igboji, Chairman; Nwanneka Chukwuba, Vice Chairman; Nwogbodo Vincent, Secretary; Aja Kelechi, Treasurer and Nwaji Sunday, Monetary Secretary, amongst others.
The chairman, Nwigboji, counseled the members of the union for the boldness reposed in them and guaranteed that they’ll proceed to champion their welfare.
He mentioned the union will talk the nationwide physique on the election and expressed optimism that the state chapter and the nationwide physique will proceed to work in unison for the progress of the TUC.
“The is the state council, it isn’t nationwide council. We’re the grassroots degree and I consider they’ll settle for our choice right here on the state degree.
“Each SAC and SEC had been all right here in it was the choice of each SAC and SEC and the members of affiliate unions that took that call and re-elected us,” he mentioned.
Former chairman of NLC within the state, Comrade Ikechukwu Nwafor, who additionally monitored the train, applauded members of the union for their unity of objective.
