The Division of Safety Companies, DSS, has rescued 25 children lately kidnapped by gunmen in Sabon Layi neighborhood of Wase Native Authorities Space of Plateau.
Mr Samuel Jatau, the Secretary to the State Authorities, SSG, acquired the victims from the DSS on Saturday in Jos.
He defined that the victims have been kidnapped at about 7:00p.m. on December 21, 2025.
“For those who recall, on December 21, 2025, 25 children have been kidnapped in Sabon Layi space of Wase.
“They have been touring as a bunch for Maulud celebration, and this group of kidnappers pretended to be vigilante on the street.
“As they stopped for the conventional checks and discussions, it occurred that they have been kidnappers.
“They kidnapped the victims to an unknown vacation spot, however the safety companies, significantly the DSS launched a manhunt and rescued all of the children unharmed,”Jatau mentioned.
The SSG, who mentioned that three of the victims had earlier escaped, thanked the DSS for the feat.
