The Senate has begun the screening of a former Chief of Defence Employees, CDS, Common Christopher Musa, rtd, as the brand new Minister of Defence.

The screening adopted Musa’s nomination by President Bola Tinubu.
If confirmed, Musa will exchange a former defence minister, Mohammed Badaru, who resigned from the place.
DAILY POST recollects that President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday nominated Musa as Minister of Defense.
Musa served as Chief of Defence Employees from 2023 till October 2025. He received the Colin Powell Award for Soldiering in 2012.
