The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Occasion, PDP, for the 2026 Ekiti governorship election, Dr Wole Oluyede, and his deputy have been conspicuously absent because the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee, INEC, launched the provisional listing of social gathering candidates forward of the election.
INEC on Monday posted the listing of candidates from 12 political events vying for the state’s high job at its workplace on New Iyin Street, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The listing reveals that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is fielding the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji, with Monisade Afuye as his operating mate.
Different candidates embody Opeyemi Falegan of the Accord Occasion, with Omoyemi Olaleye as deputy; Akande Oluwasegun of the African Motion Congress, paired with Oluwasanmi Fajuyigbe; and Ayodeji Ojo of the Motion Democratic Occasion, with Itunu Ibitoye as operating mate.
Equally, the African Democratic Congress is presenting Oluwadare Bejide and Paul Olowoyeye, whereas the Motion Peoples Occasion has Bidemi Awogbemi and Akinyemi Adewumi on its ticket.
