Some parts of the Federal Capital Territory are at the moment in darkness as a result of a upkeep train on the Karu 132/33 kilovolt transmission station on Wednesday.
A press release by Transmission Firm of Nigeria,TCN, spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, stated the outage is predicted to final all via Wednesday.
The train disrupted bulk energy provide via Abuja Electrical energy Distribution Firm to areas in Abuja equivalent to Jikwoyi, Orozo, Kurudu, Karshi, Navy Property, and environs.
“The train is to allow the TCN upkeep crew to decouple and substitute the faulty 33kV Feeder K2 line isolator.
“Consequently, the Abuja Electrical energy Distribution Firm (AEDC) can be unable to off-take energy for distribution to its clients in Jikwoyi, Orozo, Kurudu, Karshi, Navy Property, and environs,” TCN said.
TCN added that energy provide can be restored as soon as the upkeep train is accomplished.
