The Nigerian Army has on Thursday, neutralised two kidnappers throughout rescue operations at Kukawa, Shuwaka, Ganjuwa, and Tunga villages in Kanam Native Authorities Space (LGA) of Plateau State.
Main Samson Nantip Zhakom, Media Info Officer of the JTF Operation ENDURING PEACE, disclosed this in an announcement issued to newsmen.
He mentioned the rescue operations have been performed following the kidnap of two civilians, Muhammadu Sani and Ibrahim Manman alongside Wanka-Dengi street in Kanam LGA of the State.
He mentioned the troops detailed for the operations having obtained credible intelligence cordoned the criminals’ normal space and made contact with them on the outskirts of Tunga village in Kanam LGA of Plateau State.
The kidnappers engaged the troops in a hearth combat resulting in the neutralisation of two of them whereas others fled with gunshot wounds. The hideout of the criminals was totally searched and 1 pump motion gun, 1 regionally fabricated rifle, 8 cartridges, and different sundry gadgets have been recovered.
The rescued victims have been handed over to their households after correct safety checks. Nevertheless, the recovered gadgets are in custody for additional motion.
