The Kano State Home of Assembly on Wednesday suspended the Chairman of Rano Native Authorities Council, Alhaji Naziru Ya’u, for 3 months over alleged misconduct.
The suspension adopted the adoption of a report by the Home Committee on Public Petition throughout plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Jibril Falgore.
Presenting the report, the Committee Chairman and Majority Chief of the Home, Alhaji Lawan Hussaini (Dala-NNPP) stated the investigation was prompted by a petition signed by 9 of the ten councillors within the council.
He stated the petition accused the chairman of economic recklessness, sale of outlets, and diversion of fertilizer meant for the native authorities, amongst different allegations.
