In an announcement launched by its Nationwide Coordinator, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, the group mentioned its evaluation of the figures, distributions, and geopolitical allocations exhibits a sample of systemic bias that can’t be dismissed as an oversight.

Citing media experiences revealed in The Punch (7 November 2025) and The Solar (9 November 2025), CNG famous that the Tinubu administration authorized N1.047 trillion in road contracts.

Nonetheless, the coalition mentioned the overwhelming majority of those funds had been allotted to Southern Nigeria, notably the South-West, leaving the North with what it described as “barely measurable crumbs.”

Charanchi mentioned:

“South-West: 789.82bn – 75.4%; South-South: 156bn – 14.9%; North-Central: 43bn – 4.1%; North-West: 30.23bn – 2.9%; South-East: 28.47bn – 2.7%; North-East: 0 – 0%.

Regional Totals: Southern Nigeria Mixed: N974.29bn (93%); Northern Nigeria Mixed: N73.23bn (7%).

This 7% allocation to all 19 Northern states isn’t merely an imbalance; it’s a calculated act of financial sabotage, intentionally designed to deepen regional inequality and suppress Northern growth. Northern Nigeria hosts the most important landmass, the longest federal road networks, the best insecurity burden, and the most important inhabitants centre.”

CNG accused the FEC of intentionally excluding a number of main Northern highways from the authorized contracts. Roads listed as uncared for embrace Kano–Maiduguri, Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria, Makurdi–Jos, Bauchi–Gombe, Jibia–Sokoto, Bida–Minna, and quite a few others on the point of collapse.

CNG warned that no administration can deprive a complete area of growth and count on peace, belief, or cooperation.

Charanchi added: “This can’t be attributed to oversight. It’s intentional underdevelopment and a continuation of a damaging development. No authorities can deprive a complete area of growth and nonetheless count on peace, cooperation, or belief.

A authorities can not pump billions right into a favoured area whereas turning the North into an infrastructural graveyard and count on 100 million Northern residents to stay silent. The North has endured many years of deliberate neglect, exploitation, and structural isolation. Sufficient is sufficient.

It’s shameful, certainly tragic, that Northern ministers, governors, and legislators sat by way of such a lopsided sharing method with out elevating a single objection. Their silence is betrayal. Their complacency strengthens the forces of injustice. If they can not defend the North, they have to step apart.”

The coalition insisted that Northern Nigeria would by no means settle for second-class standing within the federation.

CNG outlined 4 key calls for: “A full evaluation and rebalancing of the 6 November FEC allocations.

“A brand new authorized and administrative framework guaranteeing equitable regional distribution of infrastructure funds.

“A state of emergency on long-abandoned Northern highways.

“Full transparency in contract design and justification to halt the rising infrastructure colonisation of Nigeria by a single area.

“Nationwide unity can not survive on injustice. Peace can’t be constructed on inequality. Nigeria can’t be steady when one area is excessively favoured whereas one other is systematically strangled.”

It added that if the sample of regional bias persists, the implications can be “far-reaching and unavoidable,” putting duty squarely on these undermining nationwide steadiness.
