Morocco head coach, Walid Regragui, has stated a semi-final conflict with Algeria on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, will likely be a “lovely” encounter.
Regragui was talking after they overcame Cameroon 2-0 in Friday’s quarter-final.
The Atlas Lions will now face the winner between Algeria and Nigeria.
“If it’s Algeria we’ll need to face within the semi-final will probably be a real historic derby between two brothers, it will be lovely for soccer,” Regragui stated.
“If it’s them we’ll be very joyful as a result of will probably be an excellent celebration.”
The final time Morocco and Algeria clashed on the AFCON was within the 2004 version in Tunisia.
