Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has taken a swipe at Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State over the arrest and lengthy detention of a postgraduate pupil of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida College, Lapai, IBBUL, Abubakar Isah Mokwa
The coed was stated to have criticized the performance of Governor Bago on social media.
Atiku, whereas reacting in an announcement on Saturday, stated the arrest and detention have been an abuse of energy, stressing that it’s a harmful signal of Nigeria’s shrinking civic house.
In line with him, it was disturbing that the scholar had been detained for over every week merely for expressing his opinion about Governor Bago.
“It has come to my consideration that Abubakar Isah Mokwa, a postgraduate pupil of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida College, Lapai, IBBUL, has been arrested and detained for over every week for merely expressing his opinion about Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State,” Atiku stated.
