Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, on Monday, carried out the switch-on ceremony to restore electricity to 33 communities in Ukwa West LGA of the State, ending nine years of energy blackout.
The project was executed by the Abia State authorities by way of Abia State Oil Producing Areas Improvement Fee, ASOPADEC.
Performing the Energy Change-On ceremony at Obehie, Governor Otti mentioned the conclusion of the undertaking was according to his dedication to change the ugly situation of the oil-rich communities who had suffered untold neglect previously.
