No fewer than thirty persons are feared dead as a canoe capsized in Guri Native Authorities Space of Jigawa State.
A resident instructed DAILY POST that the incident occurred Saturday night when the canoe carrying passengers from Garbi village, Nguru native authorities of Yobe state to Adiyani village of Guri Native Authorities of Jigawa State capsized.
He mentioned sixteen individuals died, fourteen nonetheless lacking whereas ten individuals have been rescued.
Police spokesman SP. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.
